Tirumala Laddu Issue @ Assembly: Breaking Points

The Tirumala laddu issue has started to grab all the attention in the Telugu states these days. The situation has reached such a critical point that this has now come to discussion at the Andhra Pradesh assembly now.

Chief minister Chandrababu Naidu on Tuesday made serious allegations in the Assembly regarding the preparation of the sacred laddu prasadam at the Tirupati temple.

He claimed that during the previous government led by YSR Congress Party, nearly 60 lakh kilograms of adulterated ghee was allegedly used in the making of more than 20 crore laddus offered to devotees.

Naidu stated that organised syndicates were involved in the supply of the adulterated ghee. He described the issue as not merely administrative negligence but a grave act that hurt the religious sentiments of millions of devotees.

According to him, compromising the purity of the prasadam amounts to sacrilege, especially when it is associated with Lord Venkateswara Swamy at Tirupati, one of the most revered pilgrimage sites in the country.

Participating in a short discussion in the Assembly on the alleged sacrilege of the holy laddu prasadam, Naidu further claimed that there appeared to be a larger conspiracy behind the adulterated ghee supply.

He assured that the matter would be thoroughly investigated and that strict action would be taken against those responsible. The Chief Minister emphasized that protecting the sanctity of temple traditions and restoring public trust would be the government’s top priority.
