With the Department of Labor issuing subpoenas, the crackdown aims to protect American jobs and address displacement in the tech sector. There could be further restrictions once the new order regarding the H1B, which is likely to come out in August.
The new set of restrictions could be in that H1B policy that is currently in effect in the United States will require additional documentation and increased scrutiny on H1B applications.
It is being reported that the Trump administration is fully committed to completely revamping the H1B program by bringing additional scrutiny and more restrictions on the actual Visa conditions.
