Trump Killing H1B Dream For Indians: No Way Back!

The President of United States, Donald Trump has made a mission to torment and dissipate the prospect of international population working in the U.S. The insane restrictions that he is placing on the H1B visa policy is a clear indication of the same.

The latest news is that the administration has extended the $100,000 fee on H1B Visa for another year effective immediately. This would add to the existing burden that the H1B employers and potential employees were experience already.

The $100,000 fee torment will continue for another year, dated September 21, 2027, according to the latest order issued by the Department of Homeland security.

On top of this, Donald Trump has set out a new set of orders that would largely benefit the American population while strategically striking the H1B employer base in the United States.

Trump just signed an anti-H1B visa abuse executive order that will heavily investigate employers who might have laid off American workers in favour of foreign H1B workers.

It also targets employers who might be planning to lay off Americans in the future too. The order directs the Secretary of State, the Secretary of Labor, and the Secretary of Homeland Security to consider petitioner employers’ recent or planned layoffs of similarly situated U.S. workers when considering H-1B visa applications.

This would essentially mean that the United States administration is directing companies to priorities American workers over H1B foreigners. This is a direct signal from the administration that they would be watching employers and mend them if they prioritise immigrants over skilled American labour.

It appears to be that the golden dream of H1B visa period is pretty much over for the Indian population as the American administration is not just placing financial sanctions, but also operational procedures against it. The H1 visa, which was very easy to gain for skilled Indian workers in the past is surely becoming a distant dream now.
