Trump 100% Tariff: Telugu Hero Says Impossible!

They Donald Trump administration in the United States is loaded with radical decisions with regard to several public policy makings. This reached a new High point after Trump announced hundred percent tariff on foreign films in the U.S.

This legislation essentially means that all foreign films, including Indian films will have to come under the hundred percent tariff slab. If that is the case, then the prospect of Indian films at the United States box office is going to be a major issue.

However, Telugu hero Nikhil Siddhartha has pointed out that this legislation faces a lot of legal hurdles and it is simply impossible to validate the same.

In his latest elaborate message on social media, Nikhil wrote “Trump Tariffs on Films will Not be Implemented.”

Speaking about the legal side of things, Nikhil pointed out that The Berman Amendment (50 U.S.C. §1702(b)(3)) explicitly Stops presidential restrictions/Tariffs under IEEPA on imported informational materials like films, as confirmed by congressional records.

Combined with First Amendment and WTO issues, Trump's Sep 29 announcement faces major legal obstacles, with recent courts blocking similar IEEPA tariffs. Enforcement is Impossible.

It is interesting to note that this talented Telugu Hero is so aware of the legalisation mechanism in the United States as he confidently says this enforcement is impossible. For now, all Tollywood can do is hope and pray that this legal aspect would come to their rescue.
