Trump H1B Madness: Indians Must Move Out Of USA!

For the last couple of decades, United States has been one of the most popular destinations for the Indian community abroad. Excellent living conditions and also pretty solid packages in the United States has made it one of the primary destinations.

However, things have been changing drastically over the last couple of years since the start of the Donald Trump administration. He has made it a habit to give bad news to the Indian community in the United States and he is not going to stop any time soon either.

In this context, we have arrived at a point where several Indians have already come to a conclusion that the United States is not going to be a feasible option as long as Trump is in effect. Even beyond that, no one knows if the previous state is coming back.

This is an extremely challenging situation at this point in time and things are not looking likely to get back on course anytime soon.

When this matter, was brought up in front of an industry expert, who had been following the American trend for the last few years, he remarked “Trump’s latest H-1B fee hike just turned routine 3 year extensions into a $4,000 $4,500 penalty.”

“As a consequence, Large tech firms will get selective on renewals, workers will face more insecurity and the smart ones will leave for Canada, Europe or the Gulf. Meanwhile Indian IT doubles down on GCCs and high-value work in India while US onsite rotations will see incremental shrink.”

This would essentially mean that the Indian community can start possibly looking at Canada and Gulf as the possible destinations for better employment opportunities from now on.

There are multiple factors contributing to this current phenomenon in the United States with thousands of Indians flying into the United States, almost on a weekly basis. The job market is already saturated, and this continuous flow of students is not going to help the case either.
