The President of United States, Donald Trump is taking another shocking decision as he is imposing a massive $100,000 fee for H1B visa applications. He is likely to sign the order that would enhance the visa fee from around $2000-$5000 globally to $100,000.

Infosys shares went down after reports said that former U.S. President Donald Trump is planning a big change to the H-1B visa program. According to news, Trump may soon sign a new rule that will require companies to pay $100,000 (about ₹88 lakh) for each H-1B visa application.

This move is meant to reduce what he sees as overuse of the visa program by foreign workers, especially from India.

H-1B visas are very important for Indian IT companies like Infosys, TCS, and Wipro. These companies send thousands of skilled employees to the U.S. every year to work with American clients.

If the new rule is introduced, the high fee could make it too costly for companies to apply for visas in large numbers. This could limit how many Indian workers go to the U.S., and it may also reduce profits for these IT firms.

After the news came out, Infosys stock fell because investors feared that higher costs and fewer visas would hurt the company’s business. The rule has not yet been officially signed, but the possibility itself has created tension in the stock market and raised concerns for the Indian IT industry.
