The President of United States, Donald Trump is taking another radical decision in the form of the invasion of Greenland, and he has started to prepare the Ground for the same.

Reports from U S media claim that President Donald Trump recently directed special forces commanders to quietly prepare contingency plans for a possible military operation involving Greenland. The move has reportedly triggered serious resistance from senior military leadership, who are said to be deeply uncomfortable with both the legality and the strategic logic of such an idea.

According to officials familiar with the discussions, the planning order was framed as a theoretical exercise rather than an immediate operational command Even so, top Pentagon figures are believed to have pushed back strongly, arguing that any military action against Greenland would violate international law and severely damage relations with Denmark, a key NATO ally.

Greenland is an autonomous territory under Danish sovereignty, and the United States already maintains a military presence there through long standing defense agreements. Trump has repeatedly spoken about Greenland’s strategic importance, citing its location in the Arctic and concerns over growing Russian and Chinese activity in the region. However, military leaders reportedly view diplomatic engagement and alliance based security cooperation as the only viable path forward.

Danish officials have not commented directly on the reports, but political leaders in Copenhagen have previously dismissed any suggestion of U S control over Greenland. The episode highlights ongoing tensions between political ambition and military restraint within Washington’s national security establishment.
