The President of United States, Donald Trump is known for his highly impulsive attitude and also unexpected decisions. He is back in the news again now for sharing a highly controversial video of the former president of the United States Barack Obama, and his wife.

President Donald Trump briefly shared a controversial video on his Truth Social account that included a racist portrayal of former President Barack Obama and former First Lady Michelle Obama as apes, prompting widespread outrage.

The clip was part of a longer video that repeated false claims about the 2020 U.S. presidential election being stolen, but near the end it suddenly showed the Obamas� faces superimposed on animated primates while the song The Lion Sleeps Tonight played.

Critics immediately condemned the imagery as offensive and rooted in a long-standing racist trope used to dehumanize Black people.

The post sparked criticism from both Democratic and Republican figures, including Republican Senator Tim Scott, who called it �the most racist thing I�ve seen out of this White House� and urged its removal. California Governor Gavin Newsom also described the video as �disgusting behavior� and called on other Republicans to denounce it.

Initially, the White House press secretary defended the post, calling it an internet meme depicting Trump as the �King of the Jungle� and dismissing the backlash as fake outrage.

However, after the intense criticism, the video was taken down from Trump�s social media account. A White House official later said the clip had been posted in error by a staff member.
