TS Assembly Speaker Responds To Chandrababu's Arrest!

In a shocking development that grabbed the attention of everyone, former Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu was arrested earlier this month. The TDP has been alleging that he was arrested out of vendetta and there is nothing wrong on Chandrababu Naidu’s part.

On the other hand, leaders are responding to the issue one after the other. Pawan Kalyan stood in solidarity with Chandrababu and slammed the government over the arrest. Post the arrest, he also announced the alliance with TDP. The likes of Kishan Reddy, Bandi Sanjay, and Raja Singh reacted to the arrest issue of Chandrababu.

Now it's the turn of the Assembly Speaker of the neighboring state to react. Telangana Assembly Speaker Pocharam Srinivas Reddy is the latest addition to the list of people from the political spectrum who have reacted to this.

Telangana Assembly Speaker Pocharam Srinivas Reddy said that he condemns the arrest of Chandrababu Naidu. Saying that vendetta is not good, the speaker opined that the thought of sending others to jail as we are in power is not good. “I strongly condemn the arrest of Chandrababu Naidu. Things like this should not happen in the country. In a democratic system such ruling is not good,” he said.

Vendetta is not at all good. It is said in Bhagavad Gita that forgiveness is good rather than revenge. One should have the quality to forgive. Forgiving is a big quality. Mistakes do happen. They should be frightened to not repeat the mistake. I am once again condemning Chandrababu Naidu’s arrest he added.

The speaker’s reaction came at a time when Chandrababu Naidu’s remand was extended and he was given for a custody for a couple of days. A few BRS MLAs are also said to have supported Chandrababu Naidu in the tough time.

It is known that Pocharam Srinivas Reddy was with the Telugu Desam Party for a long time. After the TDP was started, he joined the party leaving the Congress party and was with it till 2011. In the TDP government, he served as the Minister twice and the Telangana movement drew him towards the BRS which was TRS then.
