In a shocking turn of events, a tunnel in Uttarakhand collapsed recently leaving many workers trapped inside. The unfortunate incident was reported earlier this month which became a big concern in the country. Following the incident, the rescue operations were started. People involved in the operation are putting in their best efforts.

In a piece of happy news to hear the workers trapped in the tunnel might be rescued and brought out by tomorrow. Reports say that today would be the last day for the rescue operation and in 11 to 13 hours the workers would be rescued. There are 41 workers trapped inside the tunnel.

If not for the 6-hour delay in the rescue operation the workers would have been rescued a bit early. With the delay, the rescue operation is taking more time than expected.

As a shot in the arm efforts a heavy drilling machine was sent to Uttarakhand to speed up the process. With this, the efforts are likely to be ended soon and the workers will walk out soon.

Pushkar Singh Dhami, the chief minister of Uttarakhand is monitoring the rescue operations and spoke to the workers who were trapped inside. All the necessary medicines were sent to the workers including food.

As per the media reports, the rescue operation is just 18 meters away from reaching the destination. Once the drilling machines break through the distance then it will be it and the workers can be brought out safely.

The tunnel in Uttarakhand's Silkyara collapsed when the work was being done. The sudden collapse trapped as many as 41 workers inside. Food was sent to the workers. Now it is said that the rescue operation is just a few steps away.
