13 Famous UK Schools to Open Campuses in Hyderabad
However, things may soon change as international schools are planning to come to India.
By: Priya Chowdhary Nuthalapti | 17 March 2026 10:31 AM ISTMany parents in India send their children abroad for better education. They believe that some foreign countries offer strong education systems and more practical learning methods. Because of this, students often travel to countries like the United Kingdom, the United States, and Australia for studies. However, things may soon change as international schools are planning to come to India.
Now, several famous schools from the United Kingdom are planning to open their campuses in Hyderabad, Telangana. According to reports, around 13 well-known UK schools have shown interest in setting up their branches in the city. This move is expected to bring world-class education opportunities closer to students in India.
A delegation from the UK Department for Business and Trade is scheduled to visit Telangana on March 18. During this visit, representatives from these schools and UK government officials will meet senior Telangana government officers. They will discuss various plans related to opening the new school campuses in Hyderabad.
These British institutions are known for providing quality education from kindergarten to intermediate levels. Their teaching methods focus on practical knowledge, global exposure, and skill development. Because of this, many parents consider UK education standards to be among the best in the world.
The Telangana government is also encouraging international education institutions to set up campuses in the state. This initiative is part of the ambitious “Telangana Rising 2047” vision. The goal of this plan is to develop Telangana into a global hub for education, technology, and innovation.
Officials are currently discussing possible locations for these new schools in Hyderabad. One major plan is to establish them in the proposed “Future City,” which is a dream project of Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy. The government plans to develop a special education zone in this new city where world-class institutions can operate.
If the plan becomes successful, students in Telangana and nearby states will have the opportunity to study in internationally recognized schools without leaving India. It will also attract students from other countries to Hyderabad.
