The United States is one of the biggest economies and it enjoys the big brother status among the world nations. This is the importance and prominence the nation has. Anything that happens in the United States will have a big impact on the world and other nations as well and the developments in the US are keenly observed.

Now America is going through a big crisis as far as the work permits are concerned. The growth in immigrants is creating new tensions in the US as the big fight is going on between the newcomers and the immigrants who are already settled in the country.

Earlier in September the US Administration announced breaking news saying that over 4 lakh Venezuelans in the US can apply for work as temporary legal status would be granted to them. This made the path easy for them to apply and get work easily and quickly.

New immigrants in the nation are getting work permits and work easily compared to the immigrants who have been living there for decades and even longer periods. This is creating a path for tensions and disputes.

To give a clear picture of the situation in the US, as many as 270,000 people from Cuba, Haiti, Nicaragua, and Venezuela arrived in October with a financial sponsor. On the other hand, not less than 324,000 people would land in the US crossing the Mexico border soon.

While the newcomers easily get work permits and job opportunities, people who settled there would have to wait for months together to get the process done. This is leading to severe concerns among the immigrants.

The big inflow of immigrants is also having a big impact on the economy. The White House is asking Congress to release as much as $1.4 billion to provide food and shelter for the new immigrants.

A few Mayors had earlier written to United States President Joe Biden seeking the release of funds as the budgets were drained taking care of the services of immigrants.
