The income Donald Trump administration in the United States is taking every possible measure to ensure that the country stays out of the free travel zone for inter international population. This is now reflecting in the social media profiling aspect that was introduced newly.

The latest developments are suggesting that there has been extreme delay in social media profiling of the F1 visas for the United States in the recent past.

Apparently, the visa officers have been ensuring that every single detail of this social media profiling matches with the description given by the applicant. On top of that, a detailed profiling is reportedly happening to decide whether the individual has any radical moves.

This is the reason why several F1 visa that were applied by Indian individuals in the recent past are getting extremely delayed. This is likely to be the situation in the near future as well, considering the new policies that are being taken up by the United States immigration authorities.

As per USCIS guidelines, the $100K fee applies to new H-1B visa petitions but not to domestic change of status from F1/OPT to H-1B. Social media vetting is required for H-1B visa stamping at consulates, often necessitating a trip back home.

This would essentially mean that the new applicant of F1 visa in the United States might have to go back to their country and get the social media profiling done.

When it was communicated that the immigration would do this social media profile, it was expected that it would be a formality procedure. But it turns out to be that the authorities I have taken this very seriously and are carrying out this process with extreme care.
