By: Tupaki Desk | 17 Sept 2025 11:27 AM ISTMajor athlete, Usain Bolt, once celebrated as the fastest man on the planet, has opened up about his current lifestyle after retiring from competitive athletics.
Now 39, the legendary sprinter admits that age and lack of rigorous training have changed his physical condition. He revealed that he often feels short of breath while climbing stairs, something unimaginable during his peak sprinting years.
Bolt explained that his life is now much slower and centered around simple routines. His days usually begin with seeing his children off to school, followed by relaxing at home, watching movies, or spending time building Lego sets.
The former world record holder acknowledged that his body is no longer in the same shape it used to be when he dominated the track. He also shared that he spends most of his time indoors, preferring to rest and enjoy quiet activities rather than push himself physically.
However, Bolt admitted he is considering doing laps or light running again to improve his stamina and breathing. His reflections show how even the greatest athletes face the natural effects of time, proving that human endurance has limits. Despite this, Bolt continues to enjoy life in his own rhythm, focusing on family and peace.
It is strange to see the greatest track athlete of all time struggling to breathe while climbing stairs as this is something doesn’t happen generally.
