US Woman Cheated As She Bought Fake Jewelry For 6 CR!

Jaipur is not famous for its palaces alone. It is also famous for jewelry. Tourists buy gold and other ornaments there. It is no wonder that Jaipur is fondly called the jewelry capital. This is the heritage the royal city had which it has been maintaining for a long time.

However, a shop owner exploited the image and duped a US citizen for Rs 6 Crore. When the victim came to Jaipur she was sold fake jewelry at Rs 6 crore which originally cost Rs 300. She got to know about this when she displayed the ornaments at an exhibition.

Art Gallery exhibitions and others are quite common in the United States and people visit them in good numbers. However, the gallery led to a harsh shock for the US citizen named Cherish. Having faced a shock she alerted the authorities who in turn spoke to the Embassy.

The Embassy swung into action and alerted the local police here on this. It is said that the Jaipur Police filed a case already and the investigation is underway. They are probing the matter from various corners to dig the information.

It is said that the shop owner who sold the fake ornaments and his son are missing. The investigating officers are looking for the father-son duo. They are looking for them. It would be a big breakthrough if they were arrested.

While what happened is not appreciable, such incidents bring a bad name to India which is having a good time as a soft power at the international level. Jaipur Jewelery is quite famous and the shop owner exploited the image.
