Varanasi Seat Surprises With Shift In Lead!

Temple city Varanasi is among the much-talked-about seats in the country. It went to the polls in the last phase of elections. It is represented by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He won two consecutive terms with a good margin and he is in the race for the third term.

The Varanasi seat hints at a surprise going by the trend so far. Initially, Narendra Modi took the lead. But things changed later with the Congress candidate coming into the lead and Narendra Modi trailing.

Changing the dynamics Ajay Rai of the Congress party took the lead of over 6000 votes grabbing everyone’s attention. Then another change appeared in the lead with Narendra Modi going forward.

By the time the second round of counting was finished, Narendra Modi is in the lead with 430 seats. Looking at the trend, we can expect a change in the lead with each round completed.

Varanasi has been the strong zone of the BJP for decades. Since the 1990s, the party has been dominant there. Narendra Modi took the trend further by winning two consecutive elections and the exit polls surveys predicted that he might win the third term too with a good margin. Let us wait and see.
