By: Tupaki Desk | 1 March 2025 12:03 PMSouth Indian politics are usually high on entertainment and unexpected twists and turns. The same appears to be the case with Tamil Nadu political scenario in the context of the 2026 assembly election.
Thalapathy Vijay, who has been actively campaigning for his TVK party with the only intention of coming to power in 2026 is finding himself in the middle of this political debate. He recently held a mega political event, which also featured political strategist Prashant Kishor.
Shortly, after this meeting, a set of speculation started to surface in the media space. It has now resulted in a very interesting theory about the power-sharing prospect that could be considered by Thalapathy.
According to Media reports, Thalapathy Vijay, who is fundamentally against NDA and DMK governments is ready for an alliance with other parties. Reportedly, he is open to the idea of aligning with another regionally strong party, AIADMK (current opposition) if they meet his demand of allocating him substantial power.
In this context, mainstream media is reporting that Prashant Kishor is negotiating with AIADMK about the power sharing prospect if an alliance wit Vijay’s TVK is to be established. Apparently, the proposal that was put in front of AIADMK is that their party head Palaniswamy can be the chief minister candidate if Vijay is given deputy CM post. Apparently, this will be the fundamental proposal for the alliance.
According to reports, PK even showed both Thalapathy and AIADMK the Andhra Pradesh model where the alliance of Chandrababu Naidu and Pawan Kalyan could easily storm to power against a fundamentally strong Jagan.
If everything goes as planned and an alliance is finalised, we could be seeing the prospect of Thalapathy Vijay becoming the deputy chief minister of Tamil Nadu in 2026. Though there are hundreds of ifs and buts associated with this equation, it would be a great sight to see two film stars holding deputy chief minister positions in South India.
