Vijay Deverakonda Appears For CBI Investigation!

It is already known that the government of India has been going pretty hard against the batting sculpture and is cracking down the brand ambassadors of the same.

The investigation into the betting app promotion case has intensified as top Telugu actors Vijay Devarakonda and Prakash Raj appeared before the CID for questioning.

The case stems from an FIR filed by the Cyberabad Police in March 2025 against 25 celebrities for allegedly endorsing illegal betting and gambling platforms.

The accused are being investigated under the Telangana State Gaming Act, the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, and the Information Technology Act for promoting apps that reportedly encouraged users to place real-money bets.

Vijay Devarakonda, during his appearance, clarified that he had only endorsed a skill-based gaming platform, not a betting app, and that his agreement had ended in 2023.

Similarly, actor Prakash Raj, who previously faced questioning by the Enforcement Directorate, stated that his involvement was limited to an advertisement made in 2016, which he later withdrew from, adding that he had not received any payment.

Sources reveal that investigators are examining digital evidence and financial transactions related to these endorsements.
