How Can Vijay Become CM Now? Is It Possible?

Thalapathy Vijay created an absolute sensation in Tamil Nadu politics by leading his TVK party to the highest volume of votes in the election. It is a matter of time before Vijay becomes a chief minister of Tamil Nadu but there is a complication here.

The fundamental problem for Vijay here is that his TVK party did not get the desired 118 MLA seats that are needed to form the government. His party could get just 108 MLA seats, and they are still 10 seats away from forming the government.

This is exactly where Vijay must show his political skills as the responsibility is on himself, and his party leadership to ensure that an efficient alliance is formed with other parties.

Other political parties like PCK, CPI and CPM have gained 2 seats each which will total to 6 seats. PMK party has won 4 seats on its own. There are a few other political parties which have also won reasonable number of seats in the election.

This would all come down to the game now as Vijay’s party around 10 MLA seats to form the government in Tamil Nadu, and this is where they will have to act extremely careful.

On the other hand, we have the case of the Congress party, which is also likely to extend their support to the TVK alliance, but this will all come down to the compatibility. We have to patiently wait and see how Vijay would react to this situation now, considering that this is his first ever election campaign.

This is going to be very interesting passage in Tamil Nadu politics as only half of the story has been done till now with the election count. The most crucial challenge here is to secure the government by forming an alliance, which is going to be the big challenge for Vijay.
