The Political Picture Looks Favourable To Thalapathy Vijay?

Films and politics are interrelated in India. People with political aspirations try to show their aspirations in their films. Parties try to rope in the stars and give them tickets to bank on their popularity. In some instances film stars also campaign for the parties they like.

Film stars venturing into politics is not new and we have seen this many times. The trend is very evident in Tamil Nadu. Three people from the film industry went on to become the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu. Now another star is aiming the same.

Thalapathy Vijay joined the elite list of stars who took the political path. He recently announced the party and said that the party will contest the next general elections in the state in 2026.

What Vijay can do is the big question here. A few observers say that the chances of Vijay becoming CM cannot be ruled out. There are a few reasons for this. Both the ruling and opposition parties are facing certain issues.

The opposition AIADMK is facing troubles with internal issues as three leaders are said to be in the race for the leadership post. The party is unable to come out of the issues. Unless the party addresses the issue it is very hard to be active in political space. This is the reason why we are not hearing anything about the party after the elections.

Talking about the DMK, it is said that people are not happy with it as the party has not done anything big. Chief Minister Stalin is already 70. He would be 73 by the next elections and there is no clarity on whether he would face the elections or not. His son Udhayanidhi Stalin is Cabinet Minister now and there is no assurance on whether he can run the party in the future or not.

As DMK and AIADMK are having some or the other issues Vijay has a big chance politically. The political observers say that this is the right place for the star and if everything goes well then nothing can stop Vijay from becoming the Chief Minister.
