Indian space agency Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has been receiving all the praises it deserves, thanks to Chandrayaan-3. The spacecraft not only made a successful landing on the moon's surface but also made India emerge as the first country to land on the south pole of the moon.

Chandrayaan-3 hit the bull's eye as far as the assignment assigned to it. It took pictures of the surface and also recorded the landing moments of the spacecraft. As the mission was about exploring the moon, the spacecraft detected a few elements on the surface.

Now the ISRO has come up with a massive update and said that Vikram Lander is into sleep mode and will enter the mode at 08:00 a.m. It is known that Pragyan Rover is already in its sleep mode and now it's the turn of Vikram Lander to follow in its footsteps.

However, ISRO is hopeful of the possible awakening of the lander and rover on the 22nd of this month. Once the solar power gets activated then the two might awake and continue its work. We will hear any further developments from the ISRO once it receives any info from them.

"Vikram will fall asleep next to Pragyan once the solar power is depleted and the battery is drained. Hoping for their awakening, around September 22, 2023," ISRO said in its Tweet.

It is known that the Vikram lander passed a hopping test by making a safe landing after receiving commands from the scientists. It went up to 30-40 CM high and then landed safely. This gave big hope to ISRO that it would be a big development in human missions in the future.

Both Lander and Rover and equipped with solar panels to give them the power to carry out the mission. The sunlight on the moon helps the rover and lander to work after the light falls on the solar panels.

The lifespan of the equipment is just 14 days. As the life span is coming to an end Rover is put into sleep mode and now Vikram Lander took the path. After 14 days the sunlight falls there and the equipment might work again.
