Our lives revolve around smartphones and we cannot imagine our lives without the devices. This is the impact the smartphones have on human life. However, the overuse of smartphones is impacting social life.
A recent study found that Smartphones are having a big impact on Human Relationships and there is a gap between the members of the family. This speaks volumes about the distraction smartphones are causing.
The Research Study named "Impact of Smartphones on Human Relationships 2023" was conducted by vivo-Cyber Media which found that the quality of relationships is diminishing with the over use of smartphones.
With this, leading smartphone maker Vivo came up with the #SwitchOff campaign. As part of this, the company had urged the users to switch off the mobiles for one hour on the 20th of this month from 8 PM to 9 PM.
Besides switching off the mobiles, customers are also asked to spend this time with families to improve the quality of the relationships.
Looking at the reasons behind the diminishing quality of relationships, the majority of people are working and they should use mobile phones even after working hours if there is any emergency at work. Youngsters are also using smartphones and to stay in touch with friends they use the phones.
Mobile phones have become more than a requirement for many people. They spend more time using phones without spending time with their families. This is leading to a dip in the family relations.
This is not the first time the Vivo mobile maker has come up with such a campaign to address family issues. The new edition of the campaign marks the fifth edition of its #SwitchOff campaign which was initiated by the company as a small solution to improve the relations.
