AP Mayor Race Round up: Who Is Getting Vizag and Vijayawada?

Andhra Pradesh is preparing for the local body election, and the stage is being firmly set for the same as intense political battles have started to unfold. The interesting thing here is that there is very little opposition from the YCP camp, but there is internal conflict between the TDP and Janasena with regard to seat-sharing.

On that matter, there is an interesting discussion happening regarding the Vizag and Vijayawada mayor positions that are up for grabs.

It is being exclusively, learnt that the Vizag mayor position is going to create a lot of discussion and debate. The fact that this happens to be the top mayor position in all of Andhra Pradesh has created a lot of demand for it.

It is being established that Nandamuri Balakrishna’s daughter Tejaswini is contemplating the idea of becoming the mayor of Vizag city. This is a very vague theory that is currently in circulation, but there is no official word on this matter yet.

Considering the fact that Balakrishna’s son-in-law and Tejaswini’s husband, Bharath is already the member of Parliament from Vizag, it must be very easy to secure the mayor position now.

But at the same time, there is a parallel discussion about the possibility of the public feeling family politics if Tejaswini is given the mayor position at this point in time. So this is going to be a calculated decision that will be taken by the government in the days to follow.

Then we have the case of the Vijayawada mayor position, and there is a lot of anticipation on this as well. The latest updates are suggesting that Vangaveeti Radha, who had been with the Telugu Desam and Janasena camps for a really long time now is hopeful of Vijayawada mayor position.

It is being reported that Radha is preparing to join the Janasena party, which is likely to get the Vijayawada position. If that happens in the next couple of days, it should be a formality for rather to be winning with Vijayawada mayor position.
