What We Should Remember Vajpayee On His Birthday?

India is one of the biggest democracies in the world. It's been 76 years since India became an Independent nation. After the independence, we had many Prime Ministers who played their role in shaping the country and its economy. Each leader had a different legacy and nature.

Out of all the Prime Ministers, veteran Bharatiya Janata Party leader Atal Bihari Vajpayee stands alone. During his tenure, India became a nuclear nation after successful nuclear testing. Today is his birthday and there is a need to remember his services.

Since 1998 India has been a full-fledged nuclear state, courtesy his bold decision. During his tenure as Indian Prime Minister India successfully carried out a series of nuclear tests and made the country a nuclear state.

25 years ago only a few nations that too developed nations. But India became a nuclear nation with the strong will of the then Prime Minister. He did not take a backstep despite the US warning not to ahead with the tests. The sanctions imposed by the superpower nation also could not stop him.

Vajpayee surprised everyone including the US by announcing the successful nuclear tests in Pokhran. After China test-fired the nuclear missiles India did the same as a safety measure. However, Vajpayee said that India would not fire the nuclear bombs first and it would do the firing in safety if needed.

It is no wonder in saying that India would not be a nuclear nation without the BJP stalwart. During his tenure, Atal Bihari Vajpayee ordered nuclear tests, and tests at various ranges were performed in Pokhran by the Indian Army.
