The Paris Olympics was a big letdown for Indians. Fans pinned high hopes that the athletes would bring a lot of medals. However, the athletes managed to win just six- one silver and five bronze. Athletes who were expected to win Gold had an early exit.

A few videos went viral on social media which allegedly show athletes doing reels on social media. This did not go well with many as they questioned if they were sent to Paris to do all these things.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi also joked about athletes doing reels. The Prime Minister hosted the athletes to learn about their Olympic experiences. During the interaction, Narendra Modi highlighted athletes doing reels.

The Prime Minister said that some athletes spent more time on mobiles to watch and make reels. Narendra Modi said that he got to know that athletes spent more time on reels and asked who did reels there. There was a pin-drop silence when the Prime Minister asked this.

Priyanka Goswami was subjected to immense criticism after she shared a reel on social media from the Olympics. She stood at the 41st position out of 45 athletes in her sport. Fans who were not happy with her performance trolled her for the reel she did.

Now the Prime Minister asked about athletes spending more time on mobile for reels. Doing reels is not bad. But athletes making reels from the Olympic Village sends the wrong message.
