Why BRS is happy at the Congress-Left breakup?

Look who is very happy over the failure of the seat adjustment talks between the Left parties and the Congress Party. The Congress Party, which promised two seats each to the two left parties, has given them a short-shrift and the Left parties are now left with no option but to contest on their own.
The Left first wanted to enter into some kind of alliance with the ruling BRS. But, the BRS mercilessly announced candidates in the seats that the Left Parties were claiming. Left with no option, they wooed the Congress Party. The Congress Party dillydallied for quite some time and finally said adieu.
The BRS is happy with this development. Some BRS leaders, who were with the Left Parties earlier, are said have approached the CPI and CPM with an offer to fund their election expenses. The BRS wants the Left Parties to cut into the anti-BRS votes in their areas of influence. Thus, they would affect the electoral fortunes of the Congress Party in at least 10 constituencies.
The BRS leaders are also hopeful of buying the support from the Left leaders in constituencies where they are not in the fray. This will help the BRS get some additional votes, which would have otherwise gone into the Congress Party’s kitty. The Left leaders too are too eager to enter into the haggling for cash in return for votes.
