Almost every party has a strong region where it is not easy to beat it. This is the case with any state and Telugu states are not exempt from this. If we take YSRCP as an example, it is very strong in Rayalaseema and we saw this in 2014 and 2019. Even though the alliance won in 2014, YCP won a good number of seats in Rayalaseema.

But this was not the case with the 2024 elections. People voted for the alliance in the Rayalaseema region which indicates that people gave a good mandate to the alliance. This can be seen as a massive blow to YCP in its strong zone.

After recording a big defeat the YCP leadership is busy holding meetings with leaders. During the meeting, the leaders reportedly gave their thoughts on the defeat and the reasons that played a key role in this.

Amid this one thing caught everyone’s attention. Leaders from Rayalaseema did not meet Jagan yet after the defeat. The Reddy leaders from the region did not meet Jagan and it is said that they are not interested in meeting the party chief in this regard.

The Reddy community is one of the big communities politically and they are a deciding factor in Rayalaseema. The community has been supporting the YS family for a very long time. This is the reason why the family is very strong there. The same has been with Jagan when he started a party on his own. We have seen YCP winning a good number of seats in 2014 and 19.

Things have changed now. It is said that Reddys in Rayalaseema are not happy with Jagan as they think they lost because of him. Their dissatisfaction is such that they are not showing interest in meeting Jagan.

In the Greater Rayalaseema region, many Reddys lost the polls. Alliance hit it out of the park and BJP also won seats there despite not having a good vote percentage in the state. This is said to have made the leaders introspect what happened.

They are angry with Jagan that he took decisions on his own without consulting them. Relying heavily on I-Pac also cost the party high time. I-Pac was confident that YCP would win the polls and the confidence transferred to Jagan. This was reflected in his comments.

Unhappy with their defeat the Reddy are said to be not interested in meeting Jagan and they are missing the meetings too. They reportedly think that Jagan is the reason behind their defeat in the strong zone of Rayalaseema.
