Will Jagan Govt arrest Nara Lokesh or not?

If highly placed sources are to be believed, TDP national general secretary Nara Lokesh is planning to resume his Yuva Galam yatra from Razole in Konaseema district. He is mulling to start the yatra from where he had left it. In all probability, the yatra is likely to begin sometime next week, according to sources.

But the big question is will he be arrested in the skill development corporation scam if he comes to Andhra Pradesh. There is a furious debate on this topic. While some fear that Lokesh could be arrested, yet other political observers feel that Lokesh may not be arrested, but would be tormented by inspired news leaks and frequent CID summons for questioning.

Some in TDP fear that Lokesh could be arrested on his arrival and this will effectively stymie the leadership of the party ahead of the crucial 2024 elections. However, his continued absence from Andhra Pradesh is being painted as Lokesh being terribly afraid of being arrested. So, he is now in a catch 22 situation.

Some perceptive observers say that the YSRCP may not have him arrested. If he is arrested, the mantle of the party will pass on into the hands of individuals like Nara Brahmani. She is an unknown package and could influence the voters in a very positive way. This could turn the tide in favour of the TDP. Hence, the YSRCP wants the leadership of the TDP to remain in Lokesh’s hands. This could work to the YSRCP’s advantage, they feel.
