Will TDP Accept Request To Enter INDIA Alliance?

The grand old Telugu Desam Party and Janasena which joined hands for the 2014 polls had come together for the upcoming polls as well. Both parties are busy with the efforts to work together. A few meetings were held with leaders of both parties attending them.

Now a new doubt had been raised on whether TDP would enter the INDIA block the grand alliance of the opposition parties in the country. Veteran communist leader CPI Narayana had given an offer to TDP to be a part of the INDIA block for the elections.

He said that TDP, Janasena, Congress, and Left Parties should go to elections in AP. Citing the example of recent Telangana elections, CPI Narayana said that the alliance saw a success and the same would happen in AP too.

Talking about the Political picture in Andhra Pradesh, CPI Narayana said that parties are fearing the BJP as they fear what would happen if they go against Narendra Modi. People would not vote for the parties which are with BJP, he said.

Parties fearing BJP is a claim that CPI Narayana made. This can be agreed partially as no parties in the state question the BJP and Narendra Modi no matter what is happening in the state be it the Vizag Steel plant privatisation or others.

But the question is whether TDP dares to go against BJP. INDIA block was formed against the BJP and the leaders would aggressively target the party and the leaders. TDP is aware of this and it might not take the risk of going against BJP.

However, people question the credibility of the request made by CPI Narayana. If any big leaders from Congress and other parties make the request, we can take it seriously. Let us wait and see how the TDP responds to this.
