Woman Legislator Turns Athlete For India in Olympics!

India entered the Olympics with a lot of hopes and expectations considering its performance in the last events. India won as many as seven medals at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics and scored a century in the Asian Games making it our best performance so far. This time 117 athletes were sent to the big occasion.

Out of them, one athlete is getting everyone’s attention as she is a serving MLA. She hails from a political family and she is an MLA. She is a sports enthusiast too and won one silver and one gold earlier. Now we have to see if she can bag another medal.

Shooter Shreyasi Singh is among the athletes who would represent the country on the international stage. As she won a silver medal at the Commonwealth and Gold at Gold Coast there are big expectations on her.

Tracking her background she hails from a political family. Her parents were MPs. Her father and grandfather served as the National Rifle Association Presidents. With this, she started to develop a special interest in shooting and began practice. Slowly she started to win the competitions and reached the national level.

She is an MLA and she won her elections in 2020 with a good margin. She defeated the sitting candidate in the elections. Even after becoming a legislator, she did not stop practicing and she was selected for the prestigious Olympics.
