Udyogam Purusha Lakshanam was the proverb that was used to say doing a job is the duty of a male. But things have changed and women are stepping out to hold jobs.

Women are proven as better workers than men. This is the reason why we see women in good positions in the organistions. However, women are not having a good time as far as their jobs are concerned. A new study found that women are leaving their jobs unable to balance work and life.

A study named "Women in India Inc HR Managers Survey report" found a shocking thing which says that as much as 34 percent of women leave their jobs unable to balance their work and life. The same percentage is just 4 in men.

In married couples, Women are expected to take care of the house and family members as well compared to men. It is very tough to balance work and life. While some of them would manage to balance both, the rest of them cannot and give up.

In some families, working women would get support from the members and not everyone is that lucky. With this women opt for quitting jobs.

A few other aspects also play a key role. The study said that compared to men women’s marital status, age, and where they live will be considered by the hiring managers. Saying that considering these aspects while hiring would create additional struggles for women. Having said that, the report proposed taking steps to look into the aspect.
