The grand old Telugu Desam Party and Janasena announced the first list of candidates for the upcoming elections the other day. The TDP received the major share of seats in the announced list. The first list was out along with the candidates who would face the elections on the party ticket.

The list is a sensation for various reasons. A few seniors were left alone and a few candidates who have been losing consecutive elections were also given tickets. But three leaders missing the tickets grabbed everyone’s attention.

It is known that the MLC elections in the state saw a big development as four MLAs were accused of cross-voting in the polls. On the same grounds the MLAs-Anam Ramanarayana Reddy, Mekapati Chandrasekhar Reddy, Kotamreddy Sridhar Reddy, and Vundvalli Sridevi were suspended.

After they were suspended they have been supporting the TDP giving the impression that they might get a TDP ticket. However, they faced a big shock as they could not make it to the first list. Three MLAs were ignored.

YCP rebel MLAs Undavalli Sridevi, Mekapati Chandrasekhar Reddy, and Anam Ramanarayana Reddy were not given the tickets in the first list. In their place, other candidates were given a ticket. Only Kotamreddy Sridhar Reddy managed to get a ticket.

It is a big shock that the three Rebel YCP MLAs who joined the TDP over issues with the party were not given the tickets. In the first list, they could not get a spot. Another list will be announced soon. They might or might not get a spot on the list.

The three MLAs are sitting candidates. TDP gave tickets to other candidates rather than Undavalli Sridevi and Mekapati Chandrasekhar Reddy. If they were given the tickets in other seats there is no assurance on whether they would win or not.

Now they are in a tough spot. They cannot go back to YCP as the leadership is angry at them. All they can do is wait for the second list to be announced to get clarity.
