But the state is in the news for a good reason and the most auspicious reason as the Ram Mandir was inaugurated today. The city saw guests from various fields. Narendra Modi took part in the ceremony and did the Pran Prathista for the idol.
After the ceremony, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath addressed the gathering and made crucial comments on the new Ayodhya from now on. The firebrand leader talked about the changes in the city and said that there would be no curfews and gunshots in the city anymore.
The Chief Minister said that Ayodhya will not hear the gunshots and from now on there will be Deepotsav and Ramotsav. Ayodhya will see the Ram kirtans echo and not the curfew.
His comments grabbed everyone’s attention with people wondering if he indirectly hinted at the events that happened in the 1990s during the Ram Janmabhoomi movement. It has to be known that the movement played a key role in history and the movement also gave a space for the Rath Yatra.
The movement saw some tense situations and the then-government took harsh decisions to bring the situation under control. There was a face-off between the cops and devotees. A few people even passed away and a curfew was imposed in the state. With this, many say that Yogi might have indirectly hinted at those events.
