Jagan condemns Ambati Arrest And Targets CM Babu, Pawan Kalyan!
Jagan pointed out that Ambati Rambabu himself admitted he should not have used harsh words, but added that the leader spoke out of fear for his life and under intense political pressure.
By: Tupaki Desk | 4 Feb 2026 10:48 PM ISTAndhra Pradesh former chief minister YS Jagan arrived in Andhra Pradesh today in the context of Ambati Rambabu’s arrest. He made a series of comments against CM Chandrababu and his series of operations.
YSR Congress Party chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy reacted strongly to the arrest of senior leader Ambati Rambabu and accused the ruling alliance of targeting opposition voices.
Speaking to the media, Jagan said that Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan, and minister Nara Lokesh have been using abusive language against political rivals as if it has become normal in state politics.
Jagan pointed out that Ambati Rambabu himself admitted he should not have used harsh words, but added that the leader spoke out of fear for his life and under intense political pressure. According to Jagan, instead of understanding the situation, the government chose to arrest him, which he described as an act of political vendetta.
He further said that in a healthy democracy, leaders must be allowed to question the government without fear. If someone makes a mistake in their speech, it should be addressed politically and not through arrests, he argued. Jagan also remarked that if the ruling leaders had the maturity, they should focus on earning respect through governance rather than provoking confrontations.
The former Chief Minister alleged that such incidents reflect a decline in democratic values in Andhra Pradesh and warned that suppressing opposition leaders would only weaken public trust in the government.
