YS Jagan Sets A Big Example Of Social Justice!

Those who are in the political space make big claims when it is needed. However, not everyone has the conviction to implement what they say. This is where Jagan stands tall. He is someone who stands on his words. This is proven once again with the candidates' list which was announced for the upcoming elections.

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy believes in Social justice and the same was followed in the candidates list. SC,ST,and Minorities were allocated half the seats and set an example. Women were also allocated a good number of seats.

Not just in the Assembly segments, social justice was followed in the MP seats too. BCs were given 11 seats, while SCs were allocated four seats out of 25 seats. Looking at the Assembly seats BCs were given 48 seats followed by SCs(29), STs(7), and Minorities(7).

Compared to the 2019 elections the number of seats that were allocated to these sections increased largely. 11 more seats were allocated for the SC, ST, BC, and Minorities compared to 2019. BCs were allocated 48 seats, 7 seats more than in previous elections.

In 2019 the minorities were given 5 MLA tickets which increased to 7 in 2024. Even in the MP seats, 4 additional seats were allocated to the BCs this time.

Women are the big beneficiaries in the seat announcement. In 2019, 15 women candidates were given seats while 19 candidates received tickets this time. Compared to the previous elections, Women candidates were allotted one more seat.

What's the key point in the candidates' list is that candidates with good education qualifications were also given a chance. In the MLA list, there are 13 Doctors,11 Lawyers,34 Engineers,5 Teachers,2 Civil Servants, 1 Defense personnel, and 1 Journalist. In the MP segments, there are 4 Doctors,4 Lawyers,1 Chartered Accountant, and 1 Medical Practitioner.

Cadre is the backbone of the party as they work hard for the party at the ground level. In a bid to honour their valuable services as many as 14 Karyakarthas were given tickets. This is now what we see generally.

Looking at the Candidates list one thing is clear. YS Jagan Mohan Reddy set a big example of social justice by giving a good number of seats to the communities and women. People often say these communities should be uplifted which is impossible without making them a part of the power. Jagan understood this and gave them seats.
