Can Congress Get A Nod From Sharmila On Proposal?
Telangana will go for the elections in a few months and this is the reason for focusing more here

The party leadership has been taking timely measures on making the party strong at the root level. The party is balancing this and fighting the BJP.
Compared to other states, Congress is focusing on Telugu states. Telangana will go for the elections in a few months and this is the reason for focusing more here. Of late, it has been said that talks are going on between the Congress party and the YSRTP for either a merger or alliance.
Many say that the chances of a merger are high due to various reasons. Though we have been hearing about this for some time, no announcement was made yet as it is said that both sides failed to come to a common opinion and that is why there is a delay in this.
To make things fast and get a positive outcome, the Congress leadership is said to have made a big proposal to YS Sharmila. As per the reports, the leadership has some ideas on where Sharmila should contest the elections.
When the debate of Sharmila’s merger into the Congress party started, a few objections started within the Telangana Congress. It is said that the seniors might be worried that she might get a big post as she comes from a political family.
Forget about other leaders, even Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) chief Revanth Reddy raised a few objections and openly said that he would not support this. He highlighted the Andhra links of Sharmila and objected to the proposal. We achieved Telangana not for the Andhra rulers, Revanth said.
Following the remarks, there was a talk that things would not go well if the issues are not addressed. So the Congress party reportedly wants her to contest the Secunderabad Lok Sabha elections. By doing so, the party wants to keep the issues at a distance. Now we have to wait and see how the proposal would work for the party and her and whether the merger talks go further.
