Putting an end to the long wait, the Congress party announced that Sharmila is appointed as the PCC chief.
An official note was released by the Congress party announcing Sharmila's appointment as PCC Chief. Outgoing state chief Rudra Raju was announced as the special invitee to the Congress Working Committee.
Ever since she merged her party there have been reports of her getting the stage chief post. Adding fuel to this, AP Chief Rudra Raju resigned from his post recently. With this people started thinking that the resignation was made to make way for Sharmila's appointment.Making the reports true,Sharmila was appointed as the state chief.
The upcoming elections already turned interesting as opposition parties TDP and Janasena joined hands to face the mighty YSRCP.
Adding more intensity, Sharmila is appointed as the state chief. She will lead the party in the state for the elections and we have to see how the party functions under Sharmila. It will also be interesting to see how Sharmila targets YSRCP, her brother’s party.
The political observers are eagerly waiting to see if Sharmila can bring more interest to the political landscape in the state. Seeing siblings facing each other in politics is an interesting thing to watch out for.
Congress party has almost collapsed in Andhra Pradesh after the state bifurcation. No noted face is left in the party. Sharmila’s entry and appointment as the state chief can be seen as the Congress party’s big move to revive itself.
She is already a known fact as YSR’s daughter and she would surely use YSR’s legacy in the campaign. Let us wait and see what happens next.
