Is This The End Of YS Sharmila’s Political Journey?

Sharmila, daughter of late YSR who has been working hard in Telangana for the past three years and putting up a strong fight backed out of the elections recently. She has a fighting spirit but lacks the ability to draw strategy. This is the reason for her failed politics, say observers.

There is a criticism that instead of focusing on her politics, she shifted her focus towards Congress and announced support for the party. Many say that she sacrificed the political career of many. As a harsh reality, YS Sharmila’s political journey almost ended say observers.

She extended her support to the Congress party. It is said that she did this thinking that it would be an advantage to her if Congress comes to power in the state. There is harsh criticism that she left out three years of hard work for this.

YS Sharmila who covered a massive distance of three thousand and eight hundred kilometers in Padayatra showed her aggression in politics but could not go forward with the strategies. She supported the Congress party now. However, no one knows the strength of her party as she did not contest even one election. Even if she has some strength, there is no clarity on whether Congress remembers her support.

However, there is no clarity of what was assured to YS Sharmila if Congress comes to power. Many say that even if she was given a Rajya Sabha seat there is nothing more that she can achieve. There is no scarcity of leaders in Congress. When leaders who were in the party could not get the tickets, how the new faces can get a ticket is a question here.

Congress is a big ocean. If Sharmila supported Congress for just an MP seat, then the question of what is the point of the padayatra arises. Now her political life is dependent on Congress. The observers say that while there is no clarity on what Sharmila wants to say by announcing her journey with Congress, the chances of her ambitions being fulfilled are very few.
