BJP Likely To Field World Cup Winning Player As MP?

Whenever there are elections in the country it is common for the parties to rope in the celebrities as the candidates. Their popularity becomes an added advantage in the elections. The trend has picked up off late as we are seeing the joinings in the parties.

Compared to others, the BJP is following this more and there are already a few celebrities in the party. The Lok Sabha elections are fast approaching and the BJP wants to win the elections at any cost and it is looking for the winning horses.

Now it is being reported that a World Cup-winning player might be the Lok Sabha candidate for the elections. If everything goes well the former cricketer might be the candidate. The player meeting a Union Minister along with his mother started the debate.

Yuvraj Singh, the finest all-rounder India produced in recent times met Union Minister Nitin Gadkari earlier this month. Yuvraj Singh’s mother was also present during the meeting. This started the debate on the possible entry of Yuvraj Singh into politics.

Yuvraj Singh might be fielded as the candidate from the Gurdaspur Lok Sabha seat as per the reports. Bollywood veteran actor Sunny Deol is the sitting candidate there. It is reported that Sunny Deol might not contest the elections this time due to various reasons.

As the BJP wants a new candidate Yuvraj Singh might be the right candidate. Let us wait for the official confirmation on this.
