720 Crores Of Loss In 100 Days At The Box-Office!

The lockdown in India started 100 days ago and the entire theatres and shootings were shut down. There has been zero theatrical business from 21st March and experts in Bollywood predict that there is approximately a loss of 720 crores at the box-office.

It is because nine interesting and awaited films which were supposed to set the cash registers ringing are now going to get an OTT release. The biggest from the lot is Akshay Kumar's 'Laxmi Bomb' which would have fetched more than 200 crores at the box-office. Post the demise of Sushant Singh Rajput, his last film 'Dil Bechara' would have gotten a thunderous response. The same is the case with Ajay Devgn's 'Bhuj' which would have earned more than 125 crores.

Apart from these, there are other films like Janhvi Kapoor's 'Gunjan Saxena', 'Khuda Hafiz', 'Sadak 2' 'Big Bull', 'Loot Case', 'Shakuntala Devi' and many more. But all these films are going to get released in OTT platforms as the producers need to recover their investments. The Corona crisis has definitely changed the film industry. Isn't it?
