If there is one web series in recent times which crossed the limits, it is definitely 'Rana Naidu'. Victory Venkatesh who has the image of a family hero and macho man Rana Daggubati played the lead roles in this series. People who watched it as soon as it streamed were stunned with the level of boldness, use of profanity and intimacy on many occasions. Many termed it as a very vulgar series.
Mainly, the language which Venky spoke in the series was shocking to his fans as they couldn't digest it. Also, there was feedback that the series was not that engaging and many wondered why Venky picked up such a subject for his OTT debut. It looks like the feedback of the audience reached Venkatesh too.
When asked about 'Rana Naidu' during the promotions of 'Ahimsa', he answered about how the second season is going to be and claimed that he learnt what the response from the audience is regarding the first season.
He claims that they are trying to take them into consideration while making the second season. But he stated that one cannot make content which is liked by everyone and added that it is tough to impress everyone. As we know, 'Rana Naidu' is an Indian adaptation of the popular Hollywood series 'Ray Donovan'. It looks like the scale of vulgarity and boldness will be toned down in the second season.
