These days people are completely confused about which OTT to subscribe for and which one to ignore. If you buy Amazon Prime Video and Netflix because they are affordable, Tollywood's new policy made it clear that movies will arrive after 4-6 weeks but not earlier. The complete Telugu OTT platform 'Aha' asks you a few hundred extra if you want to watch it in 4K. Hotstar is absolutely necessary for watching live cricket matches. Sony Liv and other apps are offering new content which are attracting subscribers.

All these are costing thousands of rupees. Now Mukhesh Ambani has decided to bring in a new OTT platform. Already, there are JioCinema & JioTV apps that are popular and they even share the content from Sun Next. They withdrew it recently. The recent FIFA World Cup was made available on JioCinema. Ambani group bought Viacom18 Studios and they own an OTT platform named 'Voot Select'. They have a lot of content but the reach is very low. Combining these two, Amabani and team will be launching a new app named 'Jio Voot' as per reports.

Much like how Jio brought a revolution in 4G services in India, this 'Jio Voot' is expected to arrive with a huge plan. Despite having a huge demand, movies like 'Vikram Vedha' and 'Bhediya' are not premiered till date. A few North and South projects are also kept on hold. All these crazy projects will be released once in 'Jio Voot' and the initial subscription packs will be very affordable according to reports. Let us wait and see how this new OTT app turns out.
