The newly released theatrical trailer of Bangarraju implied that the family entertainer is a proper Sankranthi film. The rustic elements, the action episodes, and the family drama narrative are touted to be the main highlights of Bangarraju.
Now, Bangarraju is presented with a golden opportunity as it gears up for theatrical release this Sankranthi season.
The biggest advantage for Bangarraju this Sankrathi season is the lack of competition. The Nagarjuna and Naga Chaitanya starrer is the sole biggie to release in theatres this festival season and that should greatly boost its box office prospects.
Soggade Chinni Nayana, which released back in 2016 faced tough competition from Nannaku Prematho but it could post exceptional revenues. The film collected Rs 50 crores share even with competition. Now, the sequel of Soggade Chinni Nayana - Bangarraju is releasing this Sankranthi.
The government has relaxed the night curfew and 50% occupancy at cinema halls regulation and that should further help Bangarraju.
If everything goes as planned, Bangarraju might well emerge as the first 100 crores grosser for Nagarjuna and Naga Chaitanya. The Telugu audience are known for flocking theatres during the Sankranthi season and the only prime choice they have this time around is Bangarraju. The film is releasing on 14th January.
