Ace Filmmaker Basu Chatterjee Dies At 93

Basu Chatterjee is best known for directing films like Choti Si Baat, Baaton Baaton Mein, Rajnigandha, Chameli Ki Shaadi and Ek Ruka Hua Faisla among more. His films are considered to be more realistic in their depictions. He worked in Hindi as well as Bengali cinema.
In 1992, he received the National Film Award for best film on family welfare, for the movie Durga. During the early Doordarshan days, he also helmed two hit TV serials, Byomkesh Bakshi and Rajani.
Basu Chatterjee worked with Superstars Amitabh Bachchan, Rajesh Khanna, Dev Anand, Mithun Chakraborty and many others. Bollywood mourns on the demise of a legendary filmmaker.
