Samantha Akkineni recently faced a debacle with 'Jaanu'. Though her performance was lauded, the film failed to bring the people into theatres. Unfazed by its result, Sam accepted a Tamil film titled 'Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kaadhal' directed by Vignesh Sivan. She will be acting alongside Vijay Sethupathi and Nayanthara in this triangular love story.
In the meantime, the news of Samantha getting replaced by 'Sammohanam' actress Aditi Rao Hydari came out. It is known that Samantha was roped in to play the female lead in 'Maha Samudram' directed by 'RX100' fame Ajay Bhupathi. Ravi Teja was earlier roped as the male lead as per sources but he backed out, leading way to Chaitanya. Even he reportedly backed out making way for young hero Sharwanand. As Sharwa and Sam's 'Jaanu' failed badly, Sam opted out of this film and the makers brought in 'Cheliyaa' girl for this film. We need to wait and see if this news is true or not.
Aditi is playing a key role in 'V' which has Nani and Sudheer Babu in the lead. Also, she is working with legendary Mani Ratnam on 'Ponniyan Selvan' again after 'Cheliyaa' and 'Nawab'.
