Pushpa starring Allu Arjun, Rashmika Mandanna is releasing on 17th December. The movie is being written and directed by Sukumar.

AP Government passed GO about regulating ticket prices in Andhra Pradesh state and stated that no big budget films will get exception before release and no ticket price hike will be allowed in the state.

Now, Geetha Arts has announced Rs. 10 lakhs donation to AP CM relief fund and the amount will be donated to help people who lost everything in recent Tirupathi and Chittoor floods.

Some onlookers are commenting that looking at the situation and government's firm hand in decision making about Cinema ticket pricing, Allu Aravind the famous producer and Geetha Arts founder, strategically announced this amount to be in government good books.

This move might allow Government to at least allow extra shows for the movie till Christmas Eve and New Year day, that is, first two weeks post release. Extra shows for a big budget movie will help it to generate more gross revenue despite of low pricing.

If government is adamant on ticket pricing, at least getting permission from them for extra shows will allow for the producers to recover the amounts.

Mythri Movie Makers are producing the film but Geetha Arts will be involved in distribution of the film for sure. So, will this strategical move, if it so, help the makers to get a positive response from government regarding extra shows, marginal ticket price hikes? Keep watching this space for regular updates.
