Tollywood went through one of the big crises with the Covid outbreak and when everything seemed perfect, the industry suffered a big shock with the ongoing online movie ticket sales row. It appears like the bad time is not leaving the Tollywood film industry as the industry is gearing up to face another big setback.
Going by the information shared by the film circles, the cine workers in the industry who have been demanding the hike in their salaries are gearing up for a strike and the strike is likely to come into force from tomorrow and with this, the film shoots will be stopped until further notice.
It has been widely reported that the cine workers association has met the film federation representatives a few times in this regard to request their intervention but in vain.
With no positive response from the federation, the cine workers decided to take the tough call in their fight.
Reports say that the cine workers served strike notice informing the federation and producers that they will go on a strike from tomorrow and the strike will continue until further notice.
Now the ball is in the court of the federation and it has to be seen how the federation and producers will sort out the issue and make the workers come to the terms. We will get clarity once the federation issues a release.
