Bollywood Biggie Failing To Take Forward Brahmastras Trend?

The last two years is one of the toughest periods for Bollywood. First, the Covid pandemic and the dry run at the box office hit the industry. While the stars failed to score big hits barring a few, the Pan-India craze saw many South films earning hundreds of crores in the northern belt.

Ranbir Kapoor's recent Pan-India film Brahmastra gave much-needed relief to Bollywood by seeing good collections. Brahmāstra: Part One - Shiva not only gave a strong hope but also managed to beat the deadly boycott trend.

Now all eyes are on the upcoming biggie from Bollywood Vikram Vedha. Trade experts believe that the action entertainer might take forward the positive start given by Brahmastra. The Hrithik Roshan starrer is slated for release this month's end and the film is carrying a big responsibility on its shoulders.

With just days left for the film's release, the advance bookings of Vikram Vedha are expected to see good numbers. But contrary to this, the bookings are not that great as per the analysts which is not a good sign. The film is made on a big budget and big collections are expected from it.

The advance sales of a film decide its fate irrespective of the language. Brahmastra's rampage at the box office started with the advance sales of tickets. Numbers recorded for the early sales sent a strong message that the film might emerge victorious in the box office fight. The trend appeared true and the Pan-India film earned hundreds of crores in collections.

But the same is not the case with Vikram Vedha. The advance sales of the upcoming film are not encouraging as per the reports. Despite the movie releasing in more than 300 locations abroad, the theatres did not see any encouraging trend. Being a remake might be a big issue for the film. The majority of movie lovers have watched the original film and they will not have any interest in watching the remake.

Another issue that is troubling Vikram Vedha is the magnum opus Ponniyin Selvan: I releasing at the same time. Mani Ratnam's directorial is carrying a good buzz abroad and in the Indian market too.
