The Hindi film industry is at its lowest point in the past four decades. It was the face of Indian cinema for a long time but South Indian films are coming up with fresh and innovative scripts most of the time along with larger-than-life films that are pushing the boundaries. They are getting universal applause while Bollywood films are unable to connect with the viewers for some reason.
Barring 'Gangubai Khatiwadi', none of the films in recent times have succeeded at the box office. Films of big heroes and medium-level heroes are unable to get minimum collections. Ranveer Singh who is supposed to be the craziest star hero in Bollywood at the moment has faced two flops like '83' and 'Jayeeshbhai Jordaa' in the past four months.
None of their films are working out and there isn't enough buzz on Akshay Kumar's upcoming period drama 'Prithviraj' too. But there is one film that is creating good buzz among Hindi movie lovers. It is none other than 'Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2' which is a sequel to the 2007 super hit movie 'Bhool Bhulaiyaa' featuring Akshay Kumar and Vidya Balan in lead roles. Directed by Priyadarshan, it was a remake of the South Indian blockbuster horror-comedy film 'Chandramukhi'.
After 15 years, the sequel is arriving with Karthik Aryan replacing Akshay as the lead. This film is directed by Aneez Bazmee while Kiara Advani is the female lead. Versatile actress Tabu plays a crucial role in this project which impressed the audience with its trailer and songs. The aggressive promotions from the team also helped a lot. Karthik Aryan has a lot of following among the youth thanks to his charming looks. Bollywood is in desperate need of success and let us see if 'Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2' becomes that or not.
