Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy is releasing during the final leg of Monsoon season that too during a very wild one. We are witnessing never before rainfall in Rayalseema areas with many water bodies filling up and flooding while Hyderabad, many places in Coastal Andhra Pradesh are not seeing a day without rain.

This is phenomenally different from any other rainy season in recent times and hence, many trade pundits have suggested that this weather condition is affecting collections of Gaddalakonda Ganesh and will affect Sye Raa too.

But Megastar Chiranjeevi gave an historic blockbuster during such incessant rainy weather conditions back in 1990.

His Jagadeeka Veerudu Athiloka Sundari became a massive hit during a cyclone and when in go back in history, even Akkineni Nageswara Rao, legend of Telugu Cinema has such a blockbuster to his name, Premnagar. The movie collected beyond imagination of any trade pundit during a cyclone way back in 1971.

K. Raghavendra Rao classified both the movies as history as they did unthinkable business at box office when normally audiences are expected to be scared to come out of their houses.

Now, Uyyalavada Naarasimha Reddy's story from history is getting a fictional telling on screen with Sye Raa, Chiranjeevi playing the lead role.

Movie has Amitabh Bachchan, Kicha Sudeep, Jagapathi Babu, Vijay Sethupathi, Brahmaji, Nayantara, Tamanna and Ravi Kishan among the cast. Surrender Reddy directed the film and it is releasing on 2nd October.

Telugu audiences have shown inclination to watch films at theatres even during hostile weather conditions but the movies have been very very good for them to do so.

Will Sye Raa be that good? Can it repeat the feat of above sampled big blockbusters? Or will the weather relieve Telugu states after some violent rains for citizens to enjoy Dasara festival and movies? Let's wait and see
